Egeskov Castle
Egeskov Castle is one of the most elaborate models in our Scandinavia theme world.
The original Egeskov Castle is located on the Fünen Island in the middle of a gigantic lake. According to legend, the builder Frands Brogenhuus built the foundation for his castle from an entire forest of oaks (therefore Egeskov).
The Wunderland version of Egeskov Castle did not require nearly as much oak wood, but from a model builder’s point of view it is one of the big pieces at the Wunderland. It was built true to original within roughly 250 working hours. Every piece was cut individually and pieced together with a large amount of sensitivity.
