Cement Plant
Further highlights in the Switzerland theme world are the cement plant and the concrete factory of the Swiss construction material company Holcim. On roughly 5 m² we have built the biggest industrial model of the entire site.
Further highlights in the Switzerland theme world are the cement plant and the concrete factory of the Swiss construction material company Holcim. On roughly 5 m² we have built the biggest industrial model of the entire site. All processes of production have been depicted in miniature size - from the mining for raw materials to the production of cement, including shipping via train and truck and readymade concrete. Our model makers spent entire four months to build this masterpiece.
A lot of things are in motion at the plant: next to the bucket wheel excavator in the pit, there is also a rotary furnace and a heavy duty crane, pulling up spare parts to 60 cm height. In the packing facility of the Holcim cement plant a forklift ballet is in motion and at the concrete factory the crane for the aggregate and the tight barrel of the concrete mixer are rotating on and on. The large number of miniature workers, repairing, loading, taxiing, or driving about the premises on their bikes, is bringing the scenery to life. As soon as dusk falls the innumerable lights on the premises go on and create typical industrial illumination.
Engineers of the Holcim Germany Corporation supported us during the construction of this impressive piece. To create the production line as realistic as possible the Holcim Corporation advised us professionally. You can look for yourself and compare just how close to reality our plant is. Here you can see how cement ist produced in real life.
