The Wunderland shines in pink!
In cooperation with the children's aid organization Plan International, a wide variety of buildings in Miniatur Wunderland will light up in pink for International Day of the Girl Child.
Today, on International Day of the Girl Child, visitors to Miniatur Wunderland can discover some very special splashes of color. Since the United Nations proclaimed October 11, 2012 as International Day of the Girl Child on the initiative of Plan International, the children's rights organization has been using the day to draw attention to the lack of equal opportunities for girls worldwide by illuminating well-known buildings and monuments in numerous German cities in pink. To save energy, Plan International has indeed canceled the nationwide illumination of well-known buildings and monuments in large format for 2022.
But we are very happy that we can support this great action on such an important day together with Plan International and step in!
For example, the Elbphilharmonie, the Vittoriano in Rome or the statue of Christ in Rio der Janeiro will be illuminated.
