Gerrit's Diary Vol. 76
Despite the lockdown, the development around the Formula 1 race in Monte Carlo continues in the Miniatur Wunderland. Gerrit gives insights into the current progress in the latest video.
The 76th episode of Gerrit's diary is about the live broadcast of the Formula 1 race. Gerrit dreams of 22 high-resolution mini cameras that broadcast the race along the route on video walls for the grandstands in real time.
All of this requires quite a bit of programming work:
The control software developed by Gerrit determines the course of the race, another software from Daniel accesses this and generates a fully automatic live broadcast from it. With the help of swivel paths and scaling of the camera image, the Formula 1 cars are to be tracked without moving the camera mechanically.
