Wunderland Special - Airplanes & ghost towns for the Atacama Desert

In the Wunderland's model engineering workshop, Lukas is working on a mechanism that could soon allow an airplane to circle over the rainforest at lofty heights!

The “Rainforest” model section is currently being built in teamwork with the Martinez model-making family in Argentina. Before the modules arrive in Hamburg and construction continues here, there is still some work to be done in Wunderland. Lukas has come up with two special features. The first idea is an airplane that will circle between two floors at lofty heights. He shows us the tricky technique with ropes and pulleys in the latest video. Then we move straight on to the ghost town of Humberstone. So far it has been quite lifeless, but now the mechanics are moving and taking us back to long-forgotten times of the 19th century industrial revolution. Have fun. 😊
