At the Wunderland Diner you can enjoy the popular classics of American cuisine in an unique ambience, all in Wunderland style, of course. We offer burgers based on regional organic meat and also vegan alternatives.

Our contribution to sustainability starts with the ingredients and ends with the selection and disposal of packaging materials. We only use organic meat for our burgers and also offer a vegan option. But our Wunderland Diner is not completely waste-free either. That is why we looked for a more sustainable solution to avoid unnecessary packaging waste and disposable plastic as much as possible.

Our food is prepared quickly, but it is much lower in fat than conventional fast food. This is because we prepare the burgers and fries in a hot-air oven. Apart from a paper-thin layer of oil on the trays, no fat is used in the food making process.

Like in a classic diner, our food is served in red baskets. These are made of polyethylene (PE) plastic, which has been proven to contain no harmful plasticisers and is therefore harmless to health.* Our aim is to keep the baskets in use for as long as possible and only dispose of them, when they cannot be used anymore. In which case, they can still be 100% recycled.

The paper in the red basket is made of chlorine-free parchment paper from sustainable forestry and is 100% compostable. This material is ideal as a base for food such as burgers and fries and replaces the larger disposable box. In addition, the paper, including food remains, can be easily disposed of in organic waste and reprocessed.

Ketchup and Mayo are served in edible wafer cups based on wheat flour. If these are eaten, there is no need for waste at all. If not, the cups can easily be disposed of in the organic waste.

Cold drinks are served in reusable cups made of polypropylene (PP). This plastic contains no harmful plasticisers and is easy to recycle when disposed of properly.* We aim to ensure that the cups

We serve hot drinks in ceramic mugs. Not only does it taste best, it is also the most environmentally friendly way to enjoy your coffee. By the way, did you know that up to 320,000 disposable cups end up in the rubbish every hour in Germany? That‘s almost three billion disposable cups per year. **

The napkins are made from 100% recycled paper and contain neither dyes nor bleach and can be composted without any problems. They are therefore disposed of in organic waste.

This tray paper is made from 100% recycled paper and the text has been printed in food safe ink. It serves as a hygiene measure for you and also as an information medium. By disposing of the paper afterwards in the waste paper, it can be added to the recycling cycle again.
